New 3R's of Electronics Education:
Robots. Ready. Race!

ARE-C has developed a new, exciting and innovative robotics program for childcare/daycare - learning centers. 
The program utilizes the award-winning Snap Circuits RC Snap Rover to engage young children and introduce them to the world of electronics and robotics (based on STEM standards).

This program gives children a “hands-on” experience with electronic circuits and allows them to design 

and assemble a robot from the ground up.  Children will construct a robot and compete in 
the “Robot Races” obstacle course to see who can control their ‘bot the best.

The Snap Circuits RC Snap Rover has won numerous Best Toy awards from companies like: 
ASTRA, Dr. Toy, Education.com, Learning Express and NAPPA Gold.  This 30-piece kit of colorful 
electronic parts provides everything the child will need to build the Rover. No gluing or soldering 
required- all parts snap together with ease.  

Computers and robots are becoming more mainstream everyday.  The next generation of 
electronic products will be designed by the children of today; this course will give them a fun 
and exciting glimpse into the future!!

Each week for about an hour, the course will introduce the children to a new concept of 

electronic circuits and design. Projects from the Instruction Manual will be 
discussed, constructed, and tested for proper operation.  

Course Curriculum Outline: 

Level One​  (3-5yrs)

Week 1: 
  • What is a Robot?    
  • Discovery of Electronic Components
Week 2:  
  • Review of Electronic Components
  • Simple Circuit Building 
Week 3:  
  • Electronic Circuits  Building
  • Build Robot Rover sections
Week 4:  
  • Build Robot Rover-Driving Practice
  • Build Robot Race Courses
Week 5:   
  • RaceDay !!

Level Two (6-9yrs old)

Week 1: 
  • Discuss definition of Robot 
  • Introduction to Electronic Circuits 
  • Build simple circuit examples​
